We are currently seeking a Process Engineer to join our Hi‑Speed Cable team. The position will be located onsite in our Nashua, New Hampshire office.
- Lead process development activities for new High‑Speed I/O cable assembly products to ensure optimized manufacturability, cost efficiency, and quality.
- Lead multifunctional teams to establish and document manufacturing details to drive product transitions/transfers globally to new and existing manufacturing sites.
- Support engineering build events, technical reviews, and cross‑functional program milestones.
- Collaborate with design engineering to influence decisions, including design‑for‑manufacturing and tolerance considerations. Support design and development of new Hi‑Speed Cable products to optimize manufacturability. (Quality, Cost, Efficiency)
- Perform and document DFMEA/PFMEA, identifying risks and driving mitigation actions. Conduct tolerance stack‑up analysis, process capability studies (Cp/Cpk), and define key control characteristics. Create and maintain control plans, work instructions, and detailed process documentation.
- Develop, source, and implement specialized equipment, tooling, and fixtures required for prototype sample builds, pilot builds and ongoing production.
- Establish, validate, and optimize assembly processes across global manufacturing sites (USA, China, Mexico, Vietnam).
- Apply Six Sigma and statistical tools to reduce variation and enhance process robustness.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally 10–15%.
- 2–5 years of experience as Process/Manufacturing Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of solid modeling tools, (Creo, Solid Works, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of MS Suite of products (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Familiarity with Six Sigma, DOE, and root‑cause analysis methodologies.
- Experience with PCBA SMT and/or soldering preferred.
- Experience in the design and assembly of telecommunication cable assemblies preferred.
