Our training and development programs provide employees with career advancement in a diverse work environment. Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.
In this Senior Microwave Test Engineer position, you will make impacts in the following ways;
* Support production, with troubleshooting and debug of electro-mechanical assemblies, working directly with technicians and design engineering personnel.
* Support systems engineering with debug and evaluation of system returns.
* Provides technical advice and assistance to engineers in the development or modification of electronic assemblies and sub-assemblies in the MW factory.
* Develop process improvements in all work cells of the manufacturing factory to improve quality, cost and schedule.
* Manually debug complex microwave assemblies and sub-assemblies in support of production and engineering prototyping efforts. Required Education, Experience, & Skills
* 5+ years of experience in a low volume, high mix production environment
* Ability to read electronic schematics and technical documents
* Candidate must have experience troubleshooting / debug RF electronics to the component level.
* Hands-on test equipment and related test adapter troubleshooting and repair
* Experience with RF instrumentation, to include network analyzers, spectrum analyzers and signal sources
* Ability to perform Root Cause analysis, containment of failures in a production environment and implement subsequent corrective actions
* Ability to gather, analyze and present applicable defect data
* Communicate in a clear and concise manner using Microsoft Office products
* Experience with continuous improvement activities including Kaizen events and PFMEAs.
* All applicants must have at least an active DoD Secret security clearance at time of application submission to qualify for this position Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
* Experience with various test equipment including:
Power Supplies, Digital I/O, Oscilloscopes, Switch Matrices, DMMs, Counter/Timers, Thermal Controllers, from various manufacturers including Keysight and National Instruments
* Software programming competencies (NITestStand, NI-Lab Windows, C, C++, etc)
* Advanced computer skills including MS Office applications
* 4+ years' experience with B.S. level degree
* Secret level U.S. security clearance
* Experience in a high paced production environment Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $97008 - $164914
