What We Are Looking For

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Engineering Technician to support our Engineering team. In this role, you will assist with prototype assembly, testing, debugging, design verification, and general engineering support activities. The ideal candidate will have strong electronics and mechanical assembly skills, experience working in a laboratory or manufacturing environment, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with engineers throughout the product development process.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Assemble, troubleshoot, debug, and rework prototype electronic circuit boards, electro-mechanical assemblies, and complete systems.
  • Perform engineering tests independently or under the direction of design engineers.
  • Operate standard electronic laboratory test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators.
  • Maintain accurate records of troubleshooting activities, circuit operation, test results, and system performance.
  • Assist engineers by editing schematics, documentation, and CAD data as directed.
  • Procure prototype components and evaluate parts for engineering and development projects.
  • Support design verification activities, product testing, and prototype validation.
  • Interpret and work from bills of materials (BOMs), schematics, drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify and resolve design and manufacturing issues.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of combined experience in an engineering laboratory, product development environment, electronics manufacturing, or a related technical role.
  • Excellent hand soldering skills and experience with SMT assembly and rework.
  • Familiarity with CAD tools and schematic capture software.
  • Experience supporting prototype development, validation, and design verification testing.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, BOMs, technical drawings, and component datasheets.
  • Experience using standard electronic laboratory equipment and test methods.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining attention to detail and accurate documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of electronic circuits, components, and basic engineering principles.
  • IPC-A-610 certification or equivalent SMT assembly certification.
