The Member Service Associate II is a full-time, on-site role based in Nashua, NH, responsible for delivering high-quality service to credit union members. In this role, the associate assists members with everyday banking needs such as opening and servicing accounts, processing deposits and withdrawals, and answering questions about products and services. The position includes handling transactions accurately, resolving member issues, and providing guidance on financial options that fit member goals.
The associate collaborates with colleagues to meet branch service and sales objectives, follows all compliance and security procedures, and maintains detailed and accurate records. This role requires consistent in-person engagement with members, contributing to a positive, professional, and welcoming branch environment.
- Member service and customer support skills, including active listening, problem-solving, and the ability to build rapport and trust.
- Cash handling and transaction processing abilities, with attention to accuracy, confidentiality, and adherence to security protocols.
- Knowledge of basic banking products and services, such as checking and savings accounts, loans, and digital banking tools.
- Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication and the ability to explain financial information in accessible terms.
- Organizational and time management skills to handle multiple member requests, maintain records, and meet daily branch objectives.
- Comfort with technology and banking systems, including point-of-sale terminals, account management software, and standard office applications.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a branch team while also managing individual responsibilities with minimal supervision.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or experience in banking, finance, or customer service is beneficial.
- Prior experience in financial services, retail banking, or a member-focused environment preferred.
