Regional/Environmental Planner – The Nashua Regional Planning Commission. October 20, 2025.
The Nashua Regional Planning Commission (NRPC) seeks a well-rounded planner to join its highly-functioning multi-disciplinary team. The ideal candidate would have a background in urban planning, environmental planning, or a similar field at the municipal or regional level. The regional/environmental planner is responsible for managing NRPC’s Household Hazardous Waste Program, staffing the Nashua Region Solid Waste Management District, providing support to local land use boards under NRPC’s “Circuit Rider” program, and would work on a variety of other projects that may include land use, transportation, economic development, housing, and environmental planning.
Responsibilities- Manage NRPC’s Household Hazardous Waste Program.
- Staff the Nashua Region Solid Waste Management District.
- Provide support to local land use boards under NRPC’s “Circuit Rider” program.
- Work on a variety of projects that may include land use, transportation, economic development, housing, in addition to environmental planning.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in urban planning or a related discipline.
- At least three years of relevant work experience (internships and volunteer experience allowed).
Salary range is $50,000 to $70,000.
