Position: Wellness Floor Representative YMCA of Greater Nashua

PART time, non-EXEMPT position; YMCA of Greater Nashua:

Westwood Park Branch

Schedule:
  • Saturday & Sundays: 4:30pm-8:30pm
  • Rate of Pay Range: $13-$15 per hour
POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Wellness Floor Representative, you are the face of the YMCA on the wellness floor—creating an inclusive, supportive, and engaging space where all individuals feel welcomed and empowered. Under the direct supervision of the Director of Wellness, you will actively connect with members, answer wellness-related questions, and promote YMCA programs and events. Your role is essential in helping members achieve their health goals, build meaningful relationships, and find a sense of belonging.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • Current Red Cross First Aid and Adult CPR/AED certification (may obtain when hired)
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Passion for health and wellness, and creating a welcoming community
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Create a welcoming experience:
    Greet every member warmly with eye contact and a smile
  • Build meaningful relationships:
    Introduce yourself and get to know members by name
  • Foster community:
    Connect members to each other and to staff, encouraging participation in programs and classes
  • Be a resource:
    Stay informed about Y programs and help members find the answers they need—even if it means directing them to another staff member
  • Engage with purpose:
    Initiate conversations to support members’ wellness journeys
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment:
    Complete assigned cleaning tasks and report maintenance issues promptly
  • Uphold standards:
    Ensure member safety and adherence to wellness center policies
  • Work as one team:
    Collaborate with fellow staff to provide exceptional service
  • Perform other duties as assigned, in alignment with the Y’s mission
