JOB SUMMARY

The Site Support Specialist - Acute, provides customer and application support for Epic and other applications that support business processes across acute & ambulatory services. The incumbent acts as subject matter expert (SME) to provide at the elbow assistance & guidance for acute & ambulatory clinical staff. The incumbent partners with vendor support teams to resolve application issues when necessary. The Site Support Specialist, provides on-call support and on-site support as scheduled and as needed.

• Enlists SME from other departmental areas to ensure appropriate integration of systems.

• Demonstrated written and oral communication and facilitation skills with the ability to adapt communication style to audience.

Organizational:

• On-Site rounding as scheduled for respective facility/departments
• Ambulatory Provider onboarding elbow support as requested (formalized, scheduled)
• Inpatient Provider elbow support as requested (informal, ad hoc)

Support:

• Participates in evaluation of requests and gathering requirements from the customers to maximize application functionality in support of improved operational workflows and integrated data flow.
• Assists in identifying appropriate team members across all application departments critical to ensuring integrated design is produced.
• Utilizes vendor supplied support tools and documentation.

REQUIRED

• Communicates, in a timely manner, any internal or external customer issues,
• concerns, or questions that they either could not resolve or that need to be shared at another level.
• Uses appropriate communication methods, such as phone, email, and US mail, to share important information with relevant stakeholders.
• Recognizes and seizes opportunities to listen to the perspectives of key leaders, stakeholders and partners across the system.
• Creates an environment that welcomes internal and external customer inquiries.
• Responds promptly and professionally to calls, email, and other inquiries.
• Maintain and deliver relevant data for reporting and compliance.
• Prioritizes to make the important urgent and is intolerant of postponement.
