Packaging Machine Operator

Overview

P.R. Russell, a family-owned mulch and soil manufacturer, is hiring a Machine Operator to join their team. With 2 years of manufacturing experience, you will play a key role in operating three fully automated packaging lines, performing machinery adjustments and maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring production quality and efficiency. Additional tasks include conducting product tests, managing inventory, operating a forklift, and maintaining a clean work environment.

• Operate and maintain automated packaging lines.
• Adjust and calibrate machinery for optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Perform regular maintenance and cleaning tasks.
• Operate a forklift and conduct physical inventory.
• Rebuild and rewrap damaged pallets.

• 2 years of experience in manufacturing is a MUST.
• Teamwork and mechanical aptitude.
• Interest in automation and problem-solving.
• Basic computer, math, and communication skills.
• Ability to follow directions and learn multiple machines.

• Work indoors and outdoors in varied temperatures and weather conditions.
• Work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Extended standing, walking, bending, and climbing of stairs.

This is a full-time position. The schedule includes 10-hour shifts and requires weekend availability. During the summer, the schedule is reduced to 4-day work weeks with 10-hour shifts.
