Shipper III

This position is responsible for the transaction and shipment of goods foreign and domestic and maintaining accurate documentation on all transactions.

• Must be able to update order entry system with current shipments and prepare packing lists along with C of C's with each statement.
• Maintains freight logs and air bills of lading, then prepares and delivers all proper documentation to the Accounting Department.
• Works with the Accounting Department on special orders, i.e., C.O.D. and foreign shipments.
• Fully versed in the requirements of shipment of ITAR product (customs, export licenses, commodity codes)
• Responsible for making arrangements for special pickups through various transit companies.
• Maintains an inventory of all required shipping materials.
• Prepares purchase requisitions for supplies as needed.
• Maintains and organizes shipments against SOSA and finished goods reports.
• Performs special packaging to insure delivery of a protected quality product.
• Responsible for keeping shelves stocked with various supplies at all times.
• Follows established safety procedures and reports.
• Maintain a positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, vendors, co-workers and management.
• This position may require overtime for coverage on alternate shifts and weekends.
• May be required to cross train in other departments.
• Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months to one year related Shipping experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to work standing for extended periods of time and able to lift up to 50 lbs. safely.
• Ability to work with limited supervision, multi task in a fast paced environment.
• Basic computer skills a plus
  - Microsoft Office-Outlook/Word/Excel-Typing and/or Data Entry skills desired.
