Crane Currency has an immediate position opening for a Slitter Machine Operator (2nd Shift). Based out of Nashua, New Hampshire

Your focus on safety, quality and delivery will help strengthen your fellow team members and deliver on the core metrics that fuel the business. You will get the chance to expand on your current skillset by working in manufacturing processes fueled by technology pushing the next generation of currency around the world.

• Safe and effective Slitter operation, including monitoring and control of the equipment to maintain conformance to customer specifications and quality standards.
• Maintain efficient operation of equipment to maximize yields and uptime.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of all components of the slitter and spooling equipment, with the ability to set up orders and troubleshoot problems when necessary.
• Follow standard operating procedures and guidelines for make-ready, troubleshooting, security, record keeping, and quality testing.
• Perform set changes in a timely fashion utilizing a team approach.

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Industrial math skills.
• Strong mechanical aptitude & dexterity to perform basic repairs to the machinery.
• Ability to learn the computer skills required to control the monitoring functions.
• Ability to read, write, keep neat and accurate records, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Able to lift up to 25-lbs.
• Must be a United States Citizen with an ability to demonstrate suitability for a Position of Public Trust.

Preferred:

• Previous manufacturing experience highly preferred.
• Previous chemical handling experience a plus.

We offer generous shift differentials including 15% for 2nd shift.

Please Note: This position offers a unique opportunity to begin your career with Crane Currency. You will start in the role as an employee of a reliable staffing agency partner while your Public Trust clearance is being processed. Once your clearance is granted, training is successfully completed, and performance expectations are met, you will be considered for conversion to a position with Crane Currency.
