Value Stream Specialist
Job Description Please note this position supports our 2nd Shift, working 3:30PM to 2:00AM, Monday through Thursday (4/10 schedule), with every Friday off. You will be paid a 10% pay premium. Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site.

The Microwave North Factory is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to fulfill a Value Stream Specialist leadership role on Second Shift. The VSS position is an exciting, dynamic and fast paced role to lead and achieve operational excellence through production execution activities within a team-based manufacturing environment. This role would support all microelectronic production areas, including assembly, testing, environmental testing, and would have direct management of 15-20 skilled technicians.
The candidate will be responsible for front line leadership, planning, organizing, implementing, and managing activities within a team-based manufacturing environment. Major areas of responsibility include:
- Managing people in a manufacturing environment. Hiring, developing, coaching, and leading high-performing teams.
- Establishing and Monitoring performance to targets.
- Working with cross-functional representatives including production planning and control, quality management, systems, manufacturing, equipment and facilities engineering, material management, and process engineering to execute WIP management to reduce repair turnaround time, meet program milestones, and customer delivery schedules.
- Ensures compliance with all safety and health regulations stated by internal company policy and Federal, State, and Local applicable standards.
- Ensuring a culture of safety and diversity, equity, and inclusion in everything we do.
- Identifying opportunities for improvement and organizing resources to execute improvements.
- Develop staffing plans for cross-training and shift coverage.
- Collaborate in transition of new product integration.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Typically, a bachelor's degree and 6 years or more progressive work experience or equivalent experience.
- Ability to obtain an active Secret Level U.S. Security clearance
- Manufacturing and production execution experience
- Experience in people management or mentoring
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Holds Secret Level security clearance
- Prior manufacturing leadership experience to independently manage a mixed model production environment including assembly, integration and testing
- Experience in US defense industry manufacturing operations is highly desirable for this position
- Demonstrated experience in implementing change in manufacturing areas
- Sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating and negotiating with company personnel, customers and suppliers
Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $67406 - $114590

This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
