The Panther Group is hiring a Production Team Lead for a contract-to-hire opportunity for our client located in the Nashua, NH area. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone with strong production experience who enjoys working directly on the manufacturing floor while also supporting a team. The Team Lead will assist the Production Supervisor, coordinate daily workstation activities, operate laser equipment, perform quality checks, troubleshoot first-level production issues, and help ensure the team meets safety, quality, and productivity goals.
Responsibilities- Operate laser equipment and perform production duties while maintaining quality and productivity standards.
- Coordinate daily activities within an assigned workstation and help ensure work is completed accurately and on schedule.
- Assign team members to specific tasks based on workload and individual capabilities.
- Support and motivate team members to meet quality, productivity, and throughput expectations.
- Serve as a technical resource for first-level production issues and proactively communicate problems to minimize downtime.
- Demonstrate proper work procedures and provide hands-on training to team members as needed.
- Monitor production activities to ensure compliance with established procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.
- Perform quality control checks and verify production counts and documentation.
- Complete production sheets, reports, and other required documentation accurately and on time.
- Ensure team members have the materials and supplies needed to complete their work.
- Coordinate the movement of materials and finished products into and out of the work area.
- Assist with preparing finished goods for shipment to customers.
- Communicate production issues, delays, and other concerns to the Production Supervisor.
- Provide feedback regarding team member performance related to quality and productivity.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives and share process updates and best practices with the workstation team.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- 3+ years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also taking initiative and working independently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
- Previous experience operating laser or other automated manufacturing equipment.
- Previous experience as a Team Lead, Lead Operator, or senior production employee.
- Inventory management experience.
- Experience training or mentoring production employees.
- Experience with production documentation, quality checks, and manufacturing procedures.
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting experience.
Pay rate up to $22 per hour depending on experience #INDSUCC
