JOB SUMMARY
Maternal-Child Health (MCH) Nurses, under general supervision, deliver care to pregnant and laboring women, newborns, children and families across the continuum of care, and across the woman's lifespan utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation, in accordance with AWHOHNN Standards For Professional Nursing Practice in the Care of Women and Newborns,7th Edition (2009). Nurses collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes.
Nurses effectively interact with patient and their significant others, while maintaining the standards of professional nursing. MCH Nurses also assist the obstetrician, pediatrician, anesthesia and the healthcare team in their tasks to care for the patient.
Education Requirements
Active NH RN License required
BLS certification required
Other Requirements
2 or more years of Labor and Delivery experience required
Must be willing to work every 3rd weekend
Reliable Nurse Staffing Job #. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
