Opportunity

We’re seeking a compassionate and experienced Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our team as a Lead Provider, responsible for providing exceptional care and making a real impact on the lives of our patients within our urgent care clinic. Lead Providers act as clinical leaders for all clinical staff, mentoring and supporting new‑grad providers as well as allied healthcare professionals.

Your Impact
  • Provide Patient‑Centered Care:
    • Assess patient health: interview patients, perform physical examinations, obtain, update, and study medical histories.
    • Determine abnormal conditions: administer or order diagnostic tests (e.g., X‑rays, ECGs, laboratory studies) and interpret results.
    • Perform therapeutic procedures: administer injections and immunizations, suture, manage wounds and infections.
    • Educate and counsel: empower patients with knowledge about their health, describe therapeutic regimens, give information on normal growth and development, discuss family planning and wellness through counseling.
  • Documentation & Compliance:
    • Prepare clear, complete, accurate, and legible medical records for each patient. Type, edit, and electronically sign all office notes, reports, and records using the EMR in accordance with company policies.
    • Maintain a safe and clean working environment in compliance with company and state procedures, rules, and regulations.
    • Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection‑control policies and protocols.
    • Comply with legal and professional requirements, including studying legislation, anticipating future changes, enforcing adherence, and advising management on needed actions.
  • Collaborate with a Team: work collaboratively and proactively with other providers and healthcare practitioners to treat patients efficiently and plan coordinated dispositions.
  • Clinic Leadership: act as a clinic leader, especially when the Practice Manager is not in‑clinic, and provide mentorship to new‑graduate providers and other staff.
  • Professional Development: maintain knowledge through workshops, publications, networks, and professional societies.
  • Preceptor Role: provide educational opportunities and experiential growth to new provider staff.
Who You Are
  • Education, Licensure, &

    Certifications:

    • Master’s degree and certification by a Nurse Practitioner certifying body.
    • DEA license with no restrictions.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross. CPR, ACLS, or online‑only courses are not acceptable.
  • Relevant

    Experience:

    clinical experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, or ambulatory care settings is preferred.
  • Leadership

    Skills:

    willingness and ability to mentor providers and non‑provider clinic staff.
  • Team Player: enjoys collaborating and contributing to a strong team dynamic.
  • Communication: proactive, confident, written and verbal, raising concerns both with colleagues and patients.
  • Compassion: patient‑focused, supportive, and fostering belonging.
  • Technical Savvy: proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software and clinical management systems (EMR).
  • Knowledge:
    • Customer service principles and quality standards.
    • Applicable federal, state, and local laws (HIPAA, OSHA, etc.).
    • Relevant drug information and non‑pharmaceutical patient care aids.
    • Current medical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment procedures.
