The OpportunityWe’re seeking a compassionate and experienced Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team as a Lead Provider. You will provide exceptional care and make a real impact on patients within our urgent‑care clinic. Lead Providers act as clinical leaders for all staff, mentoring new‑grad providers and allied professionals.
Your Impact- Provide Patient‑Centered Care
- Conduct health assessments and physical exams; review medical histories to address short‑ and long‑term patient needs.
- Perform diagnostic tests (e.g., X‑rays, electrocardiograms, laboratory studies) and interpret results.
- Administer injections, immunizations, sutures, and manage wounds and infections.
- Educate patients on health, therapeutic regimens, growth, family planning, and wellness.
- Documentation & Compliance
- Create clear, complete, accurate, and legible medical records and electronically sign all office notes using EMR.
- Maintain a safe, clean environment in compliance with company and state procedures.
- Adhere to infection‑control policies and protocols.
- Stay current with legal and professional requirements, and advise management on necessary actions.
- Collaborate with a Team – Work collaboratively and proactively with other providers and health‑care practitioners to treat patients efficiently and plan coordinated dispositions in a timely manner.
- Act as a clinic leader, especially when the Practice Manager is not in‑clinic, and provide mentorship to new‑grad and other clinic staff.
- Maintain professional knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing publications, establishing networks, and participating in professional societies.
- Serve as a preceptor to new provider staff, offering educational opportunities and experiential growth.
- Education, Licensure & Certifications
- Master’s degree and certification by a PA certifying body.
- DEA license with no restrictions.
- BLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross); CPR, ACLS, or online‑only classes are not accepted.
- Relevant Experience – Clinical experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, or ambulatory care; preferred.
- Strong Leadership – Willing and able to mentor provider and non‑provider clinic staff.
- Team Player – Enjoys collaboration and contributing to a strong dynamic.
- Communicator – Proactive, confident, and direct in written and verbal communication.
- Compassionate & Patient‑Focused – Supports patients with kindness and fosters belonging.
- Technically Savvy – Proficient with Microsoft Office and EMR systems.
- Knowledge
- Customer service principles and quality standards.
- Applicable federal, state, and local laws, including HIPAA, OSHA, and relevant medical practice regulations.
- Drugs, chemical composition, and therapeutic uses.
- Non‑pharmaceutical patient‑care aids and relevant uses.
- Current medical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment procedures.
- Collaborative team environment that encourages professional growth.
