Registered Nurse (RN) – Day Surgery
Location:
37707 AMC Grafton – Day Surgery Center, Grafton, WI, United States.
Full‑time (0.8 FTE, 32 hours per week) day‑surgery nursing position.
Position SummaryProvide comprehensive pre‑operative and post‑operative nursing care in a high‑volume day‑surgery setting. Coordinate patient care, use evidence‑based practice, and maintain a safe, therapeutic environment throughout the surgical continuum. This role requires knowledge and experience in day‑surgery, surgical, or procedural nursing.
Responsibilities- Coordinate and provide comprehensive patient care before and after surgical procedures following the nursing process and institutional policies.
- Apply evidence‑based practice and clinical decision‑making skills to ensure safe, therapeutic care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to promote the safest patient environment and best patient experience.
- Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the RN practices.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers issued by the American Heart Association.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification by hire or within 6 months.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification by hire or within 6 months.
- Experience in day‑surgery, surgical, or procedural nursing is highly preferred.
- 0.8 FTE – 8‑hour shifts.
- Monday through Friday, scheduling between 0500‑1930 with rotating start times.
- No weekends, no holidays, no call.
$38.20 – $57.30 per hour.
Compensation- Base pay within the listed range, based on qualifications, skills, and experience.
- Premium pay for shifts, on‑call, and other schedule incentives.
