Job Summary

Registered Nurse is an essential member of the patient care team responsible for the delivery of direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process in all assigned areas. The RN will assess patients upon admission using appropriate interview techniques to obtain past medical history, current medical status, vital signs, lab work, x-rays, and other diagnostic tests, and will be involved in the planning and implementation of a written care plan under the direction of a Physician.

• Assess patients upon admission and perform standard assessments using basic equipment.
• Administer medication, ensuring visual acuity and hand‑eye coordination are adequate.
• Maintain confidentiality and communicate verbally and in writing with patients and team.
• Meet patient safety standards and complete appropriate documentation.
• Interact positively with team members and patients, respecting culture, lifestyle, religion, and age.
• Accept constructive criticism and channel emotional reaction positively.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor's degree preferred; graduate from an approved School of Nursing.
• License:
  Current New Hampshire Registered Nurse License required or eligible to obtain.
• Certification: BLS, ACLS required; PALS, CPI preferred.
• Experience:
  
  Clinical experience preferred.
• Professional
  
  Activities:
  
  Membership in a professional nursing organization; certification in specialty preferred.
