Registered Nurse – Geropsychiatric

Requirements:

• 2-year Associates degree or diploma from a 3-year Nursing program required
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Must possess valid State of New Hampshire RN license
• BLS certification required
• 1 year previous nursing experience preferred
• Medical terminology required

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Execute comprehensive nursing care activities on the Geropsychiatric Unit.
• Assess, monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patient conditions.
• Maintain accurate patient reports and medical histories; perform mental and physical assessments.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and assist patients with daily activities.
• Manage activities within the therapeutic milieu, including education and individual patient interactions.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary treatment team to ensure optimal care for patients.

Compliance / Notes:

• Up to 16 hours of orientation is unpaid.
• The facility reserves the right to cancel up to 3 shifts per 13-week contract.
