- Minimum of 5 years labor and postpartum experience
- Circulation experience
- Willingness to care for GYN surgical and general post-operative patients
- Must work every third weekend
Description:
Client-Child Health (MCH) Nurses deliver care to pregnant and laboring women, newborns, children, and families across the continuum of care. They utilize the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. Care practices are in accordance with professional nursing standards. Nurses collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes. Interactive communication with patients and significant others is maintained while adhering to professional nursing standards.
MCH Nurses assist in tasks to care for the patient alongside a healthcare team. Effective interpersonal skills and good oral and written communication skills are essential. This role requires the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and hospital staff. Demonstration of patient-centered behaviors is expected. The nurse must be organized and achieve a high level of accuracy in daily work.
Additional general responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
