American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring a NH or compact RN license and BLS/ACLS certification.
Details- Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) setting within a hospital environment
- Day shift schedule
- 13-week assignment length
- Defined workweek runs Sunday 12:01am through Saturday 11:59pm
- Active NH or compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (ACLS not required for Pre-Admission Testing or Operating Room)
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) training preferred or obtained prior to completion of orientation
- 3 years' critical care experience preferred
- Graduate of an approved Nursing program preferred
- Basic Dysrhythmia certification preferred or obtained prior to completion of orientation
- NIHSS certification preferred or obtained prior to completion of orientation
- Ability to safely administer procedural sedation and pass annual sedation examination
- Experience assisting with insertion of Flow wire, Opsens, and IVUS preferred
- Must demonstrate knowledge of contraindications and reversal for IV adenosine infusion
- Render professional nursing care within the assigned unit in support of medical care as directed by medical staff
- Complete comprehensive clinical documentation and care plans for all assigned patients in a timely manner
- Communicate patient information for continuity and safe care through hand-offs, walking rounds, and provider interaction
- Complete hourly rounding in collaboration with Licensed Nursing Assistants (LNAs)
- Collaborate with nurses across departments and units to resolve conflicts and address patient care needs
- Participate in quality improvement planning and DNV survey readiness
- Work within a Just Culture environment to promote error reporting and safe practices
- Practice reflects knowledge of current standards including ANA and NH Nurse Practice Act
