American Traveler is hiring a Float Pool RN to cover Med/Surg, Rehab, and Geri Psych units on day shift, requiring an active NH or compact RN license.

• Float pool position covering Med/Surg, Rehab, and Geri Psych units
• Day shift, 7a-7p
• Defined workweek runs Sunday 12:01am through Saturday 11:59pm
• Must be willing and able to float across all three assigned units

• Active NH or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Graduate of an approved nursing program preferred
• Dysrhythmia course completion required prior to end of orientation for telemetry-based departments
• CPI training preferred or must be obtained prior to completion of orientation

• Provides professional nursing care and comprehensive clinical documentation each shift
• Communicates patient information through bedside shift report, multidisciplinary rounds, and hourly rounding
• Participates in daily unit-based safety huddles and quality/performance improvement initiatives
• May serve as preceptor for new nurses and collaborate with nursing students and instructors
• Delegates aspects of care and collaborates in planning, supervising, and instructing other nursing personnel
