American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a night shift assignment requiring 2+ years of ER experience and NH or compact licensure.
Details- Emergency Department serving all patient age groups, including pediatric and adult patients
- 31-bed unit
- Uses EPIC, PYXIS, and SBAR communication methods
- Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
- Every other weekend required
- Active RN license (NH state or compact) required
- ACLS, BLS certifications required
- NIHSS certification required
- Trauma Nurse Certification Course (TNCC) required within 1 year of start
- PALS and TNCC preferred
- Graduate from an accredited nursing school
- Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
- Previous charge nurse experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- EPIC experience required
- Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and blood product administration
- Experience with emergency medications and intubation
- Experience with neurological, cardiovascular, psychiatric, and respiratory emergencies
- Experience with pediatric emergency care
- Assess, intervene, and stabilize pediatric and adult patients presenting with a variety of illnesses, injuries, or trauma
- Perform triage duties as part of daily responsibilities
- Complete a competency-based orientation program to become proficient in the Emergency Services patient population
- No specific scrub color required
- First-time travelers are not considered for this role
- Former employees of any facility associated with this health system are not eligible for consideration, regardless of separation length
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible for the local rate
