Description:
The Emergency Room Registered Nurse is responsible for providing care to pediatric and adult patients presenting with a variety of illnesses, injuries, or trauma. The RN specializes in assessing, intervening, and stabilizing patients in situations that require critical clinical decision-making skills. Successful completion of a competency-based orientation program is required to become proficient in serving the Emergency Services patient population. Weekend availability is required, with every other weekend required.
The unit serves all patient age groups and utilizes various protocols and systems for patient care. The RN works collaboratively within a team and may be floated to different areas based on patient care needs.
