American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring Epic experience, TNCC certification, and prior charge nurse experience.
Details- Emergency Department with 31 rooms serving all patient age groups, including pediatric and adult trauma, illness, and injury cases
- Uses PYXIS, EPIC, and SBAR communication tools
- Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-7:30
- Every other weekend required
- Must be willing to float based on unit needs
- Active RN license (NH or Compact) required
- Minimum 2 years of ER nursing experience required
- Previous charge nurse experience required
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school
- Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, Trauma Nurse Certification Course (TNCC, within 1 year of hire)
- NIHSS certification required; PALS and TNCC preferred
- Epic charting system experience required
- Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, and starting/maintaining IVs
- Experience with neurological, CVA, psychiatric, drug overdose, and respiratory cases including intubation
- Experience in triage and emergency medication administration
- Only AHA or American Red Cross certifications accepted
- References required, with one pending reference accepted to begin the process
- Care for pediatric and adult patients presenting with a variety of illnesses, injuries, or trauma
- Perform critical clinical decision-making to assess, intervene, and stabilize patients
- Complete a competency-based orientation program to gain proficiency in the ES patient population
- No scrub color preference
- Travelers residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible for the local rate
- First-time travelers are not considered for this position
- Former employees of any facility associated with Southern New Hampshire Health are not eligible, regardless of separation length
- Drug screening must be completed within 14 days of the start date
- All requested RTO must be submitted at the time of application
