Position:Day Shift ER Veterinarian
Join Animal Medical Center of New England’s Day Time Emergency Veterinarian team in Nashua, NH. We operate a hybrid GP and Emergency/ICU practice and welcome candidates who are comfortable treating exotics as part of our diverse caseload. You will work in a state-of-the-art facility with a collaborative, positive culture and access to advanced diagnostic equipment. - Performing diagnostic procedures and surgery
- Maintaining accurate medical records
- Pharmacy duties including prescribing medications and following controlled substance protocols
- Promote teamwork and staff efficiency
- Collaborate with the Hospital Manager on weekly priorities and expectations
- Evaluate and monitor hospital protocols from intake to discharge
- Monitor cases and participate in daily rounds when possible to uphold high standards
- Participate in practice management updates and training at all levels
- Performs other duties as assigned by Management
- Veterinarian degree (DVM) from an accredited college or university
- Current State Veterinary License
- DEA registration must be obtained and maintained
- 1+ years of experience in a veterinary emergency practice
- Strong diagnostic and clinical skills
- Excellent surgical and dental skills
- Ability to work well in a team
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to providing compassionate and high-quality veterinary care
- Excellent communication with medical and hospital staff; client communication skills to elicit information and build rapport
- Confidence and reassurance when dealing with stressed or ill patients
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Clinical knowledge and skill in examining and assessing animals; diagnose and treat accordingly
- Problem-solving to manage a high-quality veterinary hospital
- Effective client and internal communication
- Professionalism in a high-quality veterinary team
- Business acumen for hospital management
- Ethics and adherence to professional standards
- Commitment to continuing education and peer learning
