Position: Quality Inspector / Final Package Specialist

This position is responsible for ensuring finished products meet all quality, documentation, and customer requirements prior to shipment. This role performs final package reviews, pulls and verifies required documentation, and conducts First Article Inspections (FAI) as needed to ensure compliance with internal procedures and industry standards.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Perform final package reviews to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with customer and regulatory requirements
  • Pull required documentation (e.g., certifications, inspection reports, test results, drawings) for final packages
  • Verify documentation for accuracy, traceability, and proper approvals
  • Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102 or applicable standards
  • Review manufacturing and inspection records to ensure conformance to specifications
  • Identify, document, and communicate discrepancies or nonconformances
  • Work closely with Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to resolve issues
  • Ensure all records are properly completed, maintained, and filed per quality system requirements
  • Support internal and external audits as needed
  • Follow all company quality policies, procedures, and safety requirements
  • May be required to cross train in other departments.
  • This position may require overtime for coverage on alternate shifts and weekends.
  • Maintain a positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, vendors, co-workers and management.
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or quality-related training preferred
  • Previous experience in Quality Inspection, Final Inspection, or Documentation Review preferred
  • Experience performing or supporting First Article Inspections (FAI)
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements
  • Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar (preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficient in basic computer applications and quality systems
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
