Aboutthe Job:
Our Main Campus and West Campus have security guards on duty 24-hours a day, 7-days a week.
Our Officers provide a safe and secure patient care environment by conducting safety/security rounds, emergency/crisis management, access control and prevention of crimes against people and property.
What You’ll Do:- Conduct security/safety rounds of the facility twice during shift. Document findings, identify and correct discrepancies and hazards, and test alarm systems.
- Assist in the management of aggressive/combative patients. Assist licensed clinical staff in application of restraints. Monitor high-risk patients awaiting disposition in the ED. Understand and apply Medical Center’s “Use of Force” policy.
- Provide required documentation of security department incidents and activity. Describe and produce clear, concise reports of an incident and record them in a daily activity log.
- Facilitate use of emergency evacuation heliport and understand policies governing use. Use knowledge of ground safety training as required.
- Act as first responder for hazardous material emergencies. Conduct immediate assessment of situation, isolate hazard appropriately, and activate outside resources (NPD/NFR) as needed.
- High school graduate required.
- Must acquire key personal safety skills within 90 days of employment (handcuff, pepper spray, crisis intervention). Must have or be able to attend CPI training program.
- Must have a valid driver’s license for mobile patrol of facility.
