What you will do- Install and program Integrated Security, Access Control, CCTV, Fire Alarm, and Security Systems.
- Dismantle and reconstruct equipment as required.
- Work safely, adhere to safety standards, and maintain relevant local and national certifications.
- Communicate with customers before, during, and after installation, verifying schedules and preparing estimates.
- Follow schematic wiring diagrams and hook‑up procedures; read building, electrical, and sprinkler blueprints.
- Test system operation to the signal‑receiving center to ensure proper service.
- Coordinate installations with police/fire departments and handle emergency notification records.
- Complete on‑site paperwork and documentation as required.
- Engage in self‑study to develop technical proficiency on required products and applications.
- Coach and mentor less experienced installers on larger projects.
- Travel to MA, NH, and Maine, with occasional overnight stays and weekend work as needed. Company vehicle and equipment provided.
- Minimum 5 years of commercial installation experience with electrical and electronic equipment.
- Massachusetts Class D license and a valid driver’s license with a clean record.
- State of Maine Master Limited Energy License (preferred).
- Ability to read blueprints, schematic drawings, and building plans.
- Mechanical aptitude; ability to operate hand and power tools and to safely operate a fleet vehicle.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Advanced computer skills.
- No fear of heights or color blindness; accurate tape‑measure reading; able to stand, kneel, drive for extended periods.
- Background check and pre‑employment drug test required.
- Preferred certifications: NICET II, Access Control, CCTV; experience bending conduit.
Hourly rate: $30–$40, determined by education, experience, skills, and market data. Includes a competitive benefits package.
Travel required; company vehicle provided.
