Expert CNO Software Engineer

SAAB seeks a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain secure, high-reliability solutions for defense and aerospace systems within our IT organization. You will architect and implement complex services, integrate with advanced sensors and platforms, and ensure performance and safety in mission-critical environments. Collaborating closely with cross-functional engineering teams, you will apply modern Dev Ops, cloud, and cybersecurity practices while mentoring peers.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain mission-critical software for defense and aerospace systems
• Lead end-to-end implementation of secure, high-availability applications in a modern tech stack
• Collaborate with systems, cyber, and hardware engineers on complex, cross-functional projects
• Apply secure coding practices and support compliance with defense and cybersecurity standards
• Mentor engineers, perform code reviews, and drive best practices in architecture and Dev
