Senior Staff Accountant

A rapidly growing, product-driven organization in the manufacturing space is adding a Senior Staff Accountant to its Finance team. This role offers high ownership, strong visibility, and the opportunity to help scale accounting processes in a multi-state environment while working with modern tools and automation. They are targeting $65,000-$75,000 salary range.

• Own monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities, ensuring accuracy and on-time delivery
• Maintain the general ledger, including journal entries, accruals, prepaid expenses, and fixed assets
• Prepare and review balance sheet and P&L reconciliations in accordance with GAAP
• Produce financial reports, dashboards, and profitability analysis to support leadership decisions
• Partner cross-functionally with operations and project teams on cost allocation and margin analysis
• Support multi-state tax compliance, filings, and audit readiness
• Document and improve accounting processes, SOPs, and internal controls to support scale
• Leverage Excel, automation, and emerging AI tools to improve efficiency and reporting quality

• Active CPA or working toward CPA designation
• 1+ years of progressive accounting experience (public accounting and/or industry)
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial statements, and close processes
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas, data cleanup)
• Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
• Strong communication skills and comfort partnering with non-finance stakeholders
• Experience with multi-state tax compliance preferred
• Background in manufacturing, project accounting, or job costing is a plus
• Experience with ERP systems and interest in tech-forward, automated accounting environments
