Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Nashville, Tennessee. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in managing financial processes, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the organization's financial success through meticulous attention to detail and analytical expertise.

Responsibilities:

- Perform and oversee month-end closing activities, ensuring accurate and timely completion.

- Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded.

- Prepare and post journal entries while verifying the accuracy of financial data.

- Conduct thorough reconciliations of accounts, ensuring discrepancies are resolved promptly.

- Handle bank reconciliations to maintain accurate cash records and support financial reporting.

- Assist in preparing financial statements and reports for management review.

- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with accounting standards and procedures.

- Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, or areas for improvement.

- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

- Ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements in all accounting tasks. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

- Proven work experience as a Senior Accountant or in a similar role.

- Strong knowledge of month-end close procedures and general ledger management.

- Proficiency in preparing and posting journal entries with attention to detail.

- Experience in account and bank reconciliations.

- Familiarity with accounting software and tools.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
