Accounts Receivable Specialist

Location: Nashville, TN
Schedule: Hybrid - 3 days in office / 2 days remote (Fridays rotate)
Pay: $24-$27/hour
Type: Contract (through Oct/Nov) with potential to convert permanent

Seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join a small AR team supporting payment processing, reconciliations, and customer/branch inquiries. This role is open due to a long-tenured employee retiring and the team would like someone to start quickly to allow for training and knowledge transfer.

• Process and reconcile payments received via mail, lockbox, credit card, and ACH
• Handle billing inquiries from branches, corporate teams, and customers
• Review contracts for commission payouts and approvals
• Process credit memos and assist with unapplied cash research
• Perform account reconciliations and maintain accurate AR records
• Support general office duties including document scanning and printing
• Assist with additional projects as assigned by the AR Manager

• Experience in Accounts Receivable, billing, or general accounting
• Strong reconciliation skills and attention to detail
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
• Ability to work independently and collaborate within a small team environment

• 40-hour work week, typically 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM with flexibility
• Small team environment (AR Manager + 3 AR Specialists)
• Background check and drug screen required
• Interview process includes a Teams interview and possibly an in-person meeting
