Project Accountant

My client in real estate is hiring a Project Accountant to support the financial management of multiple active development projects. The company is growing and this role offers a chance to do a variety of work. They are targeting a salary range of $95,000-$105,000 plus a bonus and they offer unlimited PTO.

• Maintain project-level general ledgers, job cost tracking, and work-in-progress schedules across multiple developments. Must have strong experience doing this work.
• Record and monitor all project-related financial activity.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules for individual projects.
• Prepare monthly capital partner draw packages and distribution calculations.
• Coordinate with project teams to gather required documentation such as invoices, lien waivers, and progress reports.
• Track incoming funds and allocate them appropriately within project accounts.
• Support the monthly close process through journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
• 2+ years of accounting experience in project accounting, construction, or real estate development environments.
• Understanding of development project life cycles, job costing, construction draws, and partnership structures.
• Experience with real estate accounting systems (e.g., Yardi or similar) and strong Excel skills.
