Position Summary

We’re looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to support our financial operations in a fast-paced construction environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys organization, teamwork, and building strong relationships with vendors and project teams.

What You’ll Do
  • Process vendor and subcontractor invoices accurately with proper job cost coding.
  • Partner with Project Managers to maintain organized and accurate job costs.
  • Manage check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers.
  • Track and organize lien waivers, COIs, and vendor compliance documentation.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies professionally.
  • Maintain vendor files, W-9s, and contract documentation.
  • Support month-end close, AP accruals, and audit preparation.
  • Reconcile credit card statements monthly.
  • Serve as a reliable point of contact for vendors and internal teams.
What You Bring
  • 2+ years of accounts payable experience, preferably in construction.
  • Strong understanding of job costing, lien waivers, and subcontractor compliance.
  • Experience with Sage 300, CMiC, Bluebeam, and Excel.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven, team-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of AIA billing or 1099 processing is a plus.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in accounting or related field preferred.
  • Experience in construction accounting or accounts payable processes preferred.
