Salary: $85,000 - $105,000 per year

Job Details Responsibilities
  • Overseeing and managing all aspects of property accounting, including but not limited to the preparation of financial statements, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Performing detailed general ledger account analysis and reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded in accordance with GAAP.
  • Preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual income statements, identifying trends, variances, and areas of improvement.
  • Collaborating with the property management team to ensure accurate and timely reporting of property financial results.
  • Participating in the budgeting and forecasting process, providing input based on historical trends and future projections.
  • Assisting in the preparation of audit schedules, compliance reports, and tax returns.
  • Implementing and maintaining internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Providing guidance and support to junior staff, fostering an environment of learning and development.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Progressive experience in property accounting, preferably in the real estate industry.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts, and corporate procedures.
  • Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting complex income statements and balance sheets.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and accounting software.
  • Excellent problem‑solving, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non‑financial colleagues.
  • A proactive approach to work, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
