Billing Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join a fast-paced professional services environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on accuracy, organization, and collaboration while managing high-volume billing responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and process client invoices with a high level of accuracy and efficiency
• Update and refine billing narratives to ensure professional grammar, clarity, and formatting
• Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies, payment issues, and billing questions
• Partner with attorneys, legal support staff, clients, and internal departments regarding billing-related matters
• Maintain organized records and manage multiple deadlines in a deadline-driven environment
• Generate reports, perform data entry, and work within billing/accounting platforms daily
• Assist with special projects and additional accounting support tasks as needed

Qualifications & Technical Skills

• Strong attention to detail and excellent written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize competing tasks and work effectively under deadlines
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Familiarity with Aderant or comparable legal billing software preferred
• Knowledge of accounting functions such as billing, accounts receivable/payable, and reporting systems is a plus
