The Director, Technical Accounting will serve as a key financial leader responsible for overseeing the organization’s technical accounting function, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, and internal policies. This role provides authoritative guidance on complex accounting issues, leads the preparation of technical accounting memos, and supports financial reporting, audit readiness, and policy development. This role requires a hands‑on leader with experience in a fast‑paced, private‑equity‑backed environment, preferably within consulting, professional services, or staffing.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting expertise with the ability to build scalable processes, lead high‑performing global teams, and partner cross‑functionally to support growth.
Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Compliance- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS, including Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Statement of Cash Flows, and Stockholders’ Equity
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting across multiple global entities
- Ensure timely and accurate quarterly bank compliance reporting
- Manage audits and regulatory compliance across jurisdictions
- Maintain and enforce internal controls and accounting policies
- Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures aligned with evolving standards and business needs
- Lead day‑to‑day accounting functions including revenue recognition, lease accounting, and fixed‑asset accounting
- Oversee consolidation of international subsidiaries, including foreign‑currency considerations
- Ensure proper accounting for complex staffing revenue streams (e.g., time & materials, fixed price, direct hire) and intercompany transactions across geographies and revenue streams
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Finance, Legal, Tax, FP&A) to assess accounting implications of business initiatives
- Partner with executive leadership and private‑equity stakeholders on financial reporting and performance metrics
- Support board reporting, lender compliance, and covenant reporting
- Assist with M&A activities including due diligence, integration, divestiture and corresponding accounting treatment
- Own the quality and integrity of supporting schedules and work papers, ensuring they are accurate, well‑controlled, and presented at a level suitable for external audit and executive review
- Build and scale accounting processes to support cleanup of end‑to‑end accounting treatment from rapid growth and global expansion
- Evaluate and implement automation tools and reporting enhancements
- Drive continuous improvement in close cycles and reporting accuracy mainly through the introduction of AI tools and time‑saving initiatives
- Exhibit a proactive communication style

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA required)
