Job DescriptionAs a Tax Manager in our Nashville office, you will:
- Provide a range of tax, accounting and advisory services to small‑business clients.
- Oversee tax accounting, bookkeeping, and the preparation or compilation of financials.
- Review and analyze accounting records, deliver insights, and consult with clients on accounting and business matters.
- Lead and plan client engagements, continually evaluating and improving processes and internal controls.
- Manage and build client relationships, acting as a liaison to address and resolve client issues.
- Delegate work and oversee team efforts, setting goals and ensuring timely delivery.
- Stay current with local, state, and federal tax practices and laws.
- Assist with engagement staffing, billing/collections, and meeting client profitability targets.
- Network and build relationships internally and externally with clients and the community.
- Support professional development for team members while pursuing your own growth through firm‑wide learning programs.
- Four‑year degree (CPA, EA, or JD required).
- Five (5)+ years of relevant experience.
- At least two (2)+ years of supervisory experience, mentoring, and counseling associates.
- Strong management, analytical, organizational, interpersonal, project‑management, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise, provide exceptional client service, and commit to continuous learning.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office and relevant software.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship (preferred).
- Experience with small‑business clients (preferred).
The pay rate range for this position is $90,000 to $133,040. Actual compensation depends on experience, qualifications, and location. Baker Tilly offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package to eligible employees.
