Senior Accountant - Path to Accounting Manager

LHH is partnered with a mid-size healthcare company in search of a Senior Accountant! This opportunity offers an excellent culture with a low turnover rate to support it, along with a clear path for growth into an Accounting Manager position.

• Prepare and review monthly journal entries, accruals, deferrals, and account reconciliations to ensure an accurate and timely month-end close
• Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, along with supporting schedules
• Manage lease accounting activities under ASC 842, including monthly lease entries, reconciliations, and reporting through Pro Lease
• Perform financial reporting and variance analysis, identifying trends and providing explanations for significant fluctuations
• Support cash flow reporting, forecasting, and analysis to help leadership make informed financial decisions
• Partner with operations and department leaders to review financial results and provide meaningful financial insights
• Assist with annual audits, budgeting, forecasting, and other corporate finance initiatives
• Identify opportunities to automate processes, strengthen internal controls, and improve efficiency across the accounting function
• Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• 2+ years of accounting or external audit experience required
• Prior healthcare industry experience is required
• ASC 842 lease accounting experience preferred
