Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager will report to the Senior Director of Business Operations and Administration. This position is non-exempt and involves a variety of responsibilities including managing the accounting coordinator, overseeing daily job duties, and ensuring accuracy in accounts payable information. The role also includes reviewing invoices, expense reports, and entries in accounting software, as well as preparing tax returns and financial reports.

Minimum requirements include a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, with a master's degree being preferred. Candidates should have 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably with an active CPA license. Expertise in accrual accounting principles, familiarity with state and local business taxes, and proficiency in Microsoft programs and financial management software are essential. Strong communication skills, the ability to work flexible hours, and the capacity to manage a small team of staff are also required.

Physical requirements include the ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods, high finger dexterity for data entry, and occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs. General office equipment such as a PC, copier, and scanner will be used.
