We are a Business Management firm that manages finances for professional athletes, musicians, film +tv professionals, and other high-profile clients in the entertainment space. We are looking for a qualified and enthusiastic individual to fill the position of Associate in our NASHVILLE office.

Requirements
  • Strong grasp of GAAP Accounting principles – College Graduate with an Accounting / Finance degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years’ experience, Accounting in an office environment – Business Management experience with entertainment/ music/ high net worth clients preferred.
  • Ability to read P&Ls and Balance Sheets.
  • Experience with accrual accounting.
  • Understanding of non-profit chart of accounts and tax work helpful.
  • Passion for sports and the entertainment industry is a must.
  • Positive attitude, a self-motivator with attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment while working independently.
  • Excellent verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, & Outlook.
  • Xero, Quick Books, or another accounting software knowledge and experience is a plus.
  • Ability to maintain client and firm confidentiality.
Responsibilities include
  • Bookkeeping – accounts payable, accounts receivable, transfers, reconciling accounts / credit cards, and journal entries.
  • Banking – learning our banking system and taking charge of making payments timely, getting approvals, and saving down correct corresponding support. Filing paperwork to open new accounts.
  • Administrative tasks- answering phones, emails, making copies and scanning documents in proper client folders.
  • Ability to interact professionally with clients and their teams.
  • Many other special projects as needed.

The ideal candidate is thorough and direct with strong critical thinking skills and someone who can prioritize effectively.

Salary: $50-65k, commensurate with experience
