Position SummaryWe’re currently looking for a Senior Technical Accountant to join our team in Nashville, TN.
This role will be responsible for ensuring high‑quality, compliant external financial reporting for a $15B global manufacturing company. This position provides technical accounting expertise, supports quarterly and annual external reporting, and performs accounting research and financial analysis to support complex transactions.
*** This is a HYBRID role, in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at our HQ in downtown Nashville. ***
Responsibilities- Research, interpret, model, and apply IFRS standards for complex transactions while preparing audit‑ready technical accounting memos and supporting strategic initiatives.
- Support the preparation and review of quarterly and annual external financial reporting and disclosures under IFRS, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Perform analytical reviews of financial results and prepare/review complex journal entries and technical accounting analyses.
- Serve as a liaison to external auditors and collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to address technical accounting matters, support audits, and evaluate the accounting impact of business activities and transactions.
- Maintain and update accounting policies while monitoring new standards to assess impact and support implementation of changes.
- Identify process improvement opportunities in reporting and technical accounting while reviewing team deliverables for accuracy and compliance with IFRS standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and an active CPA License (or equivalent)
- 1–3+ years of experience as a Senior Auditor in public accounting (Big 4 or large multinational firm preferred)
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP or IFRS and public‑company financial reporting requirements
- Advanced analytical, research, and Excel skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
- Experience supporting multinational or manufacturing environments, with strong cross‑functional collaboration and ability to influence without direct authority
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills, with experience in ERP and reporting tools (e.g., SAP, One Stream, HFM) and familiarity with AI‑enabled audit tools
