Assistant Controller

We are working with a well-established professional services organization to find an Assistant Controller to join its growing finance team. This newly created Assistant Controller position offers an opportunity to work closely with senior leadership, drive process improvements, and build a long-term career path within a stable, growth-oriented company. This role is onsite in Nashville with hybrid potential after training.

• Lead month-end close activities, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and general ledger management
• Partner with leadership to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting workflows
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and other business partners
• Create and enhance reporting, analysis, and Excel-based financial tools

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA strongly preferred
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Public accounting experience preferred
• Advanced Excel skills required
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities
