Lead the Numbers. Build the Team. Keep Cash Moving.
Fusion Site is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Supervisor to lead our AR operations on site in Nashville, TN. Reporting to the Director, Accounts Receivable & Collections, you will own the day-to-day AR function — cash application, adjustments, write-offs, and the reconciliation of TRUX cash and AR activity to the bank — while developing and leading a team of four to six AR Specialists.
This position is ideal for a detail-driven finance professional who thrives on accuracy, enjoys mentoring a team, and wants ownership over controls, reporting, and root-cause problem solving in a growing, multi-brand organization.
What You'll Do- Team Leadership:
Supervise and develop AR Specialists — setting priorities, balancing workload, maintaining cross-training and coverage, and owning SOPs, onboarding, and performance management. - Daily AR Operations:
Direct daily accounts receivable operations, ensuring timely and accurate cash application, daily cash reconciliation to bank activity, and resolution of any exceptions. - Cash Monitoring:
Monitor unapplied and unposted cash balances to ensure timely resolution. - Adjustments & Write-Offs:
Approve adjustments and recommend write-offs for uncollectible accounts. - Bank Reconciliation:
Own the reconciliation of TRUX cash and AR activity to the bank, ensuring every difference is categorized, logged, and cleared, and escalating unexplained or aged items to the Director. - Controls & Reporting:
Maintain controls, audit trails, and KPI/SLA reporting, and report results to the Director. - Process Improvement:
Drive root-cause fixes upstream in billing and cash application.
- 3+ years of AR/cash application experience, including 1+ year leading or mentoring staff.
- Experience reconciling cash/AR to the bank and resolving discrepancies.
- Strong Excel skills and a solid grasp of AR accounting and internal controls.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
- Ownership and accountability for accurate, on-time results, with an analytical, root-cause approach to problem solving.
- TRUX (or similar ERP) experience.
- Waste/hauling or high-volume billing industry experience.
- Accounting or Finance coursework or degree.
- The opportunity to lead and grow a team within a hands-on, high-visibility finance function at a growing national company.
- Ownership of controls, reconciliation, and reporting that directly impact company-wide cash accuracy.
- Mentorship and collaboration with the Director, Accounts Receivable & Collections, and the broader Finance team.
- A supportive, collaborative culture built on integrity, accountability, and results.
