About the Opportunity – Accounting SpecialistOur client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join their team in the Nashville, TN 37214 area. This fully onsite position offers an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with hands-on experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general accounting support. The ideal candidate will be organized, accurate, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities – Accounting Specialist- Process accounts payable invoices and ensure timely vendor payments.
- Manage accounts receivable activities, including invoicing and payment application.
- Perform bank, credit card, and account reconciliations.
- Assist with month-end closing procedures and journal entries.
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
- Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and variances.
- Prepare reports and spreadsheets for management review.
- Support audit requests and provide necessary documentation.
- Assist with payroll support and other accounting projects as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures.
- Minimum of 2+ years of hands-on accounting experience required.
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations.
- Strong understanding of general accounting principles.
- Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, sorting, filtering, and data analysis.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Ability to work fully onsite in Nashville Monday – Friday.
