- Perform and/or manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation
- Support the preparation, review, and filing of SEC reports (10‑Q, 8‑K, 10‑K) and other external filings as applicable
- End‑to‑end process ownership to support finance and business partners;
Lead delivery of accounting tasks and projects - Execute judgments to keep projects moving and ensure the right decisions are reached to close the books each month
- Partner with cross‑functional stakeholders including Finance, Legal, Tax, Treasury, Technology, and Statutory Accounting teams to understand business initiatives and assess accounting implications
- Assess the effectiveness of controls in your area and participate in the design of new controls for emerging and growing business activities
- Identify and implement process improvement and automation opportunities; drive impactful global projects that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability
- Proactively identify, research, and document technical accounting positions and memorandums on significant transactions
- Assess risks, evaluate internal control considerations, and elevate issues to leadership with appropriate context and recommendations
- Analyze complex processes and systems data to identify root causes and surface insights
The Global Transfer Pricing Close and Reporting team is responsible for the worldwide accounting of Amazon's intercompany transfer pricing transactions ‑ ensuring charges are accurate, compliant with the arm's length principle, and booked on time across Amazon's global entity structure.

Basic Qualifications- 3+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- 2+ years of Fortune 500 operational accounting experience
- CPA
- Knowledge of internal control framework (specifically COSO) to assess control design and operational efficiency
- Knowledge of GAAP research tools and the FASB codification
- Experience in accounting management in Big Four with Fortune 500 clients
- Experience researching and documenting support for accounting conclusions
