Accounting Manager

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to support a high-volume Shared Services accounting environment in Nashville. This is a hands-on role for someone who is comfortable working in the details, managing a significant volume of transactions, and keeping multiple entities and accounts moving through the monthly close.

This position will have a heavy focus on general ledger accounting, intercompany activity, accruals, account reconciliations, and month-end close. The ideal candidate comes from a larger, complex organization and understands how to operate in a fast-paced, highly transactional accounting environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support day-to-day general ledger accounting activities across multiple accounts and/or entities
• Prepare, review, and post journal entries and accruals
• Manage a high volume of intercompany transactions, including reconciliations, balancing, research, and resolution of discrepancies
• Prepare and review balance sheet and account reconciliations
• Support the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process
• Research account variances, reconciling items, and transactional discrepancies
• Ensure intercompany balances are properly recorded and eliminated
• Review accounting activity for accuracy, completeness, and appropriate support
• Partner with other Shared Services and Finance teams to resolve issues and keep transactions moving
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reconciliation procedures
• Provide oversight and guidance to accounting staff as needed
