Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our CPA firm. This position will be responsible for managing accounting and bookkeeping functions for a diverse portfolio of clients across various industries. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting knowledge, excellent client service skills, and the ability to effectively manage multiple client accounts while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Maintain bookkeeping records for multiple clients, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Record daily financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, loans, and other balance sheet accounts.
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements and management reports.
- Process payroll and maintain payroll-related records for assigned clients.
- Assist clients with accounting system setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with CPAs and tax professionals to support tax preparation and financial reporting.
- Identify and resolve bookkeeping discrepancies and account variances.
- Maintain accurate client files and support documentation in accordance with firm policies.
- Communicate directly with clients to gather financial information, answer questions, and provide bookkeeping support.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and firm procedures.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Assist with special accounting projects and client engagements as needed.
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Experience managing multiple accounts, clients, projects, or priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Quick Books Online and Quick Books Desktop.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
