Senior Tax Accountant

A growing public accounting firm is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join its Nashville team. This is a great opportunity for a tax professional looking to take on more complex engagements, increase client interaction, and continue progressing within public accounting.

• Prepare and review federal and state income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, and corporations
• Handle increasingly complex tax compliance and planning engagements
• Research federal, state, and local tax issues
• Assist with quarterly and year-end tax planning and projections
• Communicate directly with clients regarding tax matters and information requests
• Identify potential tax-saving opportunities and provide recommendations
• Review work prepared by junior staff and provide guidance when needed
• Collaborate with managers and partners throughout client engagements
• Manage multiple engagements and deadlines during busy season

• 2+ years of recent public accounting tax experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
• Experience preparing complex individual and/or business tax returns
• Strong understanding of federal and state taxation
• CPA license or progress toward CPA preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment
