Interim Senior Director, Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting | Hybrid; project

We are working with a reputable financial services client that is seeking an interim Senior Technical Accounting Director. This is a hybrid role in Nashville 3-4 days a week on-site.

This technical accounting resource will be responsible for acquisition and purchase accounting, segment reporting analysis, technical accounting memos, footnote support, valuation support (related to intangible assets, goodwill, and impairment testing), financial reporting, and special projects around accounting policy, compliance, and process improvement.

This role will be a hands‑on, high level, and reviewer of the SEC/Financial Reporting and technical accounting function in tandem with the C‑Suite.

Requirements:

• Relevant work experience, including Big 4 public accounting experience and SEC experience (or public company experience).
• Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP, and proven experience preparing memos and technical research
• Proven experience with acquisitions, divestitures, valuation work, SEC reporting, purchase accounting, and financial reporting
• Strong presence in group meetings with senior management and external parties
• CPA is highly preferred
• Readily available and willing to commit through April 2027

This is an interim position yielding 40 hours/week (opportunities for overtime). MUST be local to greater Nashville.
